Amber Swenson is from the river town of Comanche, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in English education. Following college she landed her first job right in Iowa City at West High School. There she works full-time as an at-risk and English teacher. Amber enjoys her teaching position at West as much as her teaching position at Studio.
Amber's gymnastics background has contributed to her yoga practice in many positive ways, and led her down the path to becoming an instructor, after a yoga practice of four years. She is certified through
Yogafit and plans to build upon her certification in the future.
